Easy One Pan Sausage and Pepper Skillet

This one pan skillet is loaded with peppers and sausages slowly simmered in a deliciously garlic tomato sauce. Served with bread or over pasta, this Sausage and Pepper Skillet is easy to make and easy to clean up!

Ingredients
  

  • 4 sausages
  • 1 red bell pepper sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper sliced
  • 6 cloves garlic sliced
  • ½ white onion sliced
  • 28 oz can Fire Roasted Crushed Tomatoes
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • bread for serving

Instructions
 

  • Warm a pan over medium high heat and brown the sausages on all sides.
    4 sausages
  • While the sausages are browning, slice the red and green peppers, garlic and white onion.
    1 red bell pepper, 1 green bell pepper, 6 cloves garlic, ½ white onion
  • After the sausages are browned, add the sliced peppers, garlic and onions to the pan.
  • Turn the heat to medium and add the crushed tomatoes and basil to the pan.
    28 oz can Fire Roasted Crushed Tomatoes, 1 tsp dried basil, salt and pepper
  • Simmer until the sausages are cooked through, about 20-25 minutes.
  • Serve with some good, crusty bread to scoop up the sauce!
