If you love burgers but want a healthier option, these Spinach Asiago Chicken Burgers are what you’ve been looking for. Ground chicken is combined with garlic, spinach and asiago cheese to create a delicious (and healthy) burger. These are sure to be a hit!

Ingredients
  

  • 2 lbs ground chicken
  • 10 oz frozen spinach thawed & squeezed dry
  • 1 egg
  • ½ cup plain bread crumbs
  • 1 cup asiago cheese shredded
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 Tbsp olive oil
  • hamburger buns, lettuce, tomato, onion for serving

Instructions
 

  • After removing all of the liquid from the spinach, combine all ingredients into a large bowl and mix to combine.
    2 lbs ground chicken, 10 oz frozen spinach, 1 egg, ½ cup plain bread crumbs, 1 cup asiago cheese, 3 cloves garlic, salt and pepper
  • Form into similar sized patties. In a pan over medium heat, add a drizzle of olive oil and cook until no longer pink in the middle.
    1 Tbsp olive oil
  • Freeze any remaining patties in a single layer.
  • When burgers are done cooking, assemble with your favorite toppings and enjoy!
    hamburger buns, lettuce, tomato, onion

Notes

If you can’t find shredded asiago cheese, you can substitute shredded parmesan cheese.
