Restaurant Style Salsa
This Restaurant Style Salsa is quick and easy to make and loaded with fresh flavor. All the ingredients are blended together to create that deliciously smooth salsa that goes down a little too easy with chips!
We started a new thing this summer – camps for the boys! After being home distance learning all year (I repeat after being home alllll year), Matt and I decided to slowly start ripping off the bandaid and enroll the boys in some camps.
They each had a camp the same week and then they had one more camp that occurred during different weeks. It was perfect – I had a few hours of freedom one week and then got to spend some quality one-on-one time with each of them.
Jack’s camp happened first. I’ll give you one guess what kind of camp it was…you guessed it, baseball!
When Jack was at camp, Will and I went to the Minnesota Zoo. Will was so excited having my one-on-one attention and was literally skipping through the zoo.
It was one of those days where I just let Will take the lead and he got to choose where we went next, how long we stayed and what treat we got when we left. His ear-to-ear grin when we left made it all worth it.
Jack absolutely loved his camp and came home utterly exhausted. Bedtimes sure were easy that week!
The title of Will’s camp was creepy crawlers and he told just about everyone he knew that he was going to a worm camp.
Will seemed super excited to go and couldn’t stop talking about it. But, when we pulled up to the drop off spot, he started to panic and yelled “I’m not ready!!” As I parked the car, Will unbuckled and bailed to the trunk. I had a heckuva time getting him out of the car. With enough coaxing, he was at least outside.
The teachers were so nice and we’re trying to get him to come with them. They tried just about everything under the sun. Finally I told her she might just have to grab him so she took them from my arms and, in a last ditch effort, Will reached for the sideview mirror to try to anchor himself to anything but her.
After having been inseparable for the past year, it was equal parts sad and funny. But, I can happily report that he loved his creepy crawlers camp after that!
Whenever my kids go to a camp or to school, they always come home ravenous. I love having a snack ready to go so I don’t need to hear any hangry complaints.
This restaurant style salsa is the perfect thing to have on hand for a snack. It’s incredibly easy to make, you just blend all the ingredients together, and it tastes delicious. The only problem you might have is eating too much!
How to Make Restaurant Style Salsa
- This Restaurant Style Salsa couldn’t be any easier to make. You literally dump everything into a blender and blend away!
- If you prefer your salsa slightly chunkier, I would suggest roughly chopping things first and then just doing short pulses.
- I like when salsa is very smooth, so I just push “blend” and let the blender do its work.
- Make sure that you refrigerate the salsa prior to eating – the flavors will come together much better!

Tips for Involving Kids
- With your supervision, have your kids help you measure out all of the ingredients.
- Let your kids be in charge of the blender buttons. My boys always think this is a very important job!
- There is always going to be a mess when you cook with your kids but, like my little guy Will says, “It’s okay Mom, chefs make messes and then they clean it up.” Have fun cooking with your kids!!
