Buffalo Chicken Tacos
A twist on your traditional taco! Crunchy taco shells are filled with buffalo shredded chicken and topped with lettuce. Buffalo Chicken Tacos are the perfect choice for your next easy weeknight dinner or Taco Tuesday!
I love a good Taco Tuesday. I don’t know if it’s the chips and salsa that typically it, or the endless variations of tacos or – let’s be honest – is it the margarita?! Any way you shake it, I like it! Since we haven’t been able to go out to eat, I decided we needed to create our own Taco Tuesday at home!

These Buffalo Chicken Tacos definitely fulfilled my craving for a good taco night! They are incredibly easy to make and are a crowd pleaser! If you have kids (or adults!) that don’t like spicy food, you can skip the buffalo sauce. Prior to adding the buffalo sauce, I always take out a bit of the chicken so that I can just make chicken tacos for the boys.
This recipe uses my Instant Pot Shredded Chicken. I always like to have a bag of shredded chicken in my freezer so that I can whip dinner together fast in a pinch.
When you have the shredded chicken already prepared, this recipe can be made in about 5 minutes!

Tips for Involving Kids
- Have them help you measure out all of the ingredients.
- Let them help you assemble the tacos. I find that kids are much more willing to try new things when they make their own plates!
- There is always going to be a mess when you cook with your kids but, like my little guy Will says, “It’s okay Mom, chefs make messes and then they clean it up.” Have fun cooking with your kids!!
Buffalo Chicken Tacos
Ingredients
- 10 hard taco shells
- 2 cups shredded chicken
- 2 Tbsp butter
- ½ cup Frank’s Hot Buffalo Wing Sauce
- ¼ cup plain greek yogurt
- 1 cup shredded lettuce
Instructions
- Warm the taco shells in the oven according to the package directions.10 hard taco shells
- While the taco shells are baking, melt the butter in a saucepan over medium heat.2 Tbsp butter
- Add the buffalo sauce and shredded chicken to the butter and mix to combine.½ cup Frank’s Hot Buffalo Wing Sauce, 2 cups shredded chicken
- Once the chicken is heated all the way through, remove it from the heat and stir in the greek yogurt.¼ cup plain greek yogurt
- Divide the chicken mixture between the taco shells and add lettuce on top.1 cup shredded lettuce
