Cajun BLT Wraps
Cajun BLT Wraps are a delicious twist on the classic sandwich. The cajun mayo is extremely easy to make and adds so much flavor to a traditional BLT.
One of the many reasons I love cooking are the traditions that are rooted so deeply in it. The recipes that are passed down and the techniques that are taught can be really meaningful.
Growing up, my parents had strong preferences in who prepared what meal – my Dad was in charge of breakfast and my Mom was the dinner and dessert queen. Lunch was up for grabs!
When my dad would make breakfast, it wasn’t just cereal and oj; he would make a from-scratch breakfast every morning. Blueberry pancakes, raspberry waffles, cheesy eggs with hash browns and bacon – whatever he made was a breakfast feast!

My mom is an incredible cook but, if possible, an even better baker. She makes the best desserts from scratch. Fresh Cream Pie with Berries, Raspberry Cake, Rhubarb Crisp, the list goes on. And not only do they taste good, but they are absolutely beautiful. She always takes her desserts up a notch and adorns them with handmade chocolate trees or leaves cut from pie dough; it’s a talent that was (unfortunately) not passed on to me.
Not only is it fun for me to continue these cooking traditions with my boys, but it’s so great to see my Mom and Dad cooking and baking with Jack and Will like they did with me when I was little.
We were able to go to their house recently and Jack very excitedly got to work helping my Dad make us a feast for breakfast. It was so fun to see Jack show off his cooking skills and have my dad teach him some things he didn’t know.
Cajun BLT ingredients

- arugula
- tomato

- light mayonnaise
- Cajun seasoning
- lime juice
While Jack went right to work helping my dad, Will hopped out of the car sprinted to my parents garden. He came back triumphantly holding a carrot he picked and ran up to my mom. “Gagi, will you pleeeease make me a carrot cake?!” Needless to say, she made him a carrot cake (I mean how could she not with a request like that)!
Although it doesn’t hold a candle to my parent’s garden, we made a little raised garden this year (it seemed like the perfect time to create it during our time spent in quarantine)! While the deer helped themselves to the majority of our produce, we did have a bountiful harvest of tomatoes. So, I’ve been creating a lot of recipes that involve tomatoes!
Whenever I think of tomatoes, BLT’s are the first thing that comes to mind. While BLT’s are delicious as is, I wanted to create a spin on this classic sandwich. The cajun mayonnaise is so easy to make and absolutely delicious! I hope you enjoy these wraps as much as we did!

Alternative to Wraps
If you aren’t a fan of wraps (especially with these Cajun BLT Wraps), you can substitute the wrap for any type of bread you would like! Fresh bread, toasted bread, hamburger bun, or even a lettuce wrap would all make a great substitution!
Protein Options
Obviously the name of this recipe is Cajun BLT Wraps – B standing for bacon. Bacon is a protein but sometimes you need to add additional protein to this wrap to make it a little more filling.
If you would like more protein in your wrap, a good option would be to add deli turkey or shredded chicken. Or, you could make my Instant Pot Shredded Chicken recipe – that’s my favorite addition!
Tips for Involving Kids
- Let them help you measure out all of the ingredients – kids love being able to help with this!
- Have them help you assemble the wraps – they can choose how many veggies they want in their wrap.
- There is always going to be a mess when you cook with your kids but, like my little guy Will says, “It’s okay Mom, chefs make messes and then they clean it up.” Have fun cooking with your kids!!
